“union boss” is right. Here’s the story on the executives at Hostess: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/hostess.asp After the Wall St. Journal outed them – they made some changes. I would certainly condemn the 80% wage increases for a bankrupt company (as I’m sure any stockholders or creditors would). Hostess products will still be made in Canada and perhaps other parts of the world. I would image that someone will buy the brand names and perhaps start again with an overall lower wage structure and a business model with one-person deliver trucks that deliver all bakery products.
